Welcome to Sidebank (2017)

A citizen draws a line on the floor. A citizen lays the foundation of a nation. It's another day in the life in SIDEBANK, a place at once familiar and far away. 

Inspired by micro-nations and the pursuit of utopia, the seven members of Reassembly transform a bucket of chalk, an overhead projector, and a local radio station into a meditation on citizenship, collaboration, identity and belonging. Is it possible for utopia to exist when humans are creating it?

I co-devised and performed in Welcome to Sidebank, in March 2017, supported by The Rpyal Central School of Speech and Drama. It premiered at Bankside Campus in London in March 2017.
